Core Features
Gateway diagnostic analysis
Gateway Analyzer collects selected Gateway information and organizes it into a current analysis result. The available analysis areas cover:
-
Gateway and system resource status.
-
Datasource and database-related diagnostics.
-
Gateway scripts and sessions.
-
Tags and tag providers.
-
Users and security-related signals.
-
Alarms and audit-related information.
-
Projects, redundancy, Gateway networking, and store-and-forward activity.
The availability and completeness of an area depends on the target Gateway configuration, installed Ignition features, and access available to the module. An analysis can show that an area was not selected, completed partially, or could not be collected.
Findings and operational overview
The module evaluates collected information and presents findings grouped by severity. The Summary page provides an overall operational view and a list of active issues. The Analysis page provides a structured way to examine the available monitor results behind the summary.
Findings are advisory operational information. They should be reviewed with Gateway logs, project context, and normal engineering judgment before any change is made to a production system.
Configurable diagnostic scope
Administrators can use Analyzer Settings to select active diagnostic areas and configure user-facing filtering, output, retention, and refresh options. The page also supports configuration import and export for repeatable administration.
Configuration changes affect future analysis and export activity. Existing reports and prior observations are not automatically rewritten.
Analysis export and delivery
The Analysis Export page supports downloadable JSON and CSV-based reports. CSV export is supplied as an archive containing report sections.
The module can also schedule delivery of analysis reports to administrator-configured destinations. Supported delivery choices include HTTP-based destinations, web socket destinations, file-transfer destinations, and email. Availability depends on the Gateway network environment and destination configuration.
Gateway automation and tags
Gateway Analyzer provides Gateway-scope scripting functions for retrieving a snapshot, refreshing collection, and obtaining analysis output. It also creates an optional managed diagnostic tag provider, which exposes selected diagnostic and analysis information for use in Gateway projects.
The tag provider is an output surface. Its values are produced by the module and are not intended to be used as an operator-editable configuration store.
Ignition Integration
The module integrates with the following Ignition surfaces:
-
Gateway Diagnostics navigation through the Gateway Analyzer category.
-
Gateway configuration pages for settings and export behavior.
-
Gateway data services for authenticated programmatic access.
-
Gateway scripting functions for diagnostic retrieval and refresh.
-
A managed Gateway tag provider for diagnostic output.
No Perspective components or Vision components are provided by this module.
Operational Behavior
The module starts its Gateway services with the module lifecycle and periodically refreshes baseline diagnostic information. Analysis may be refreshed on demand, through the Gateway pages, or through approved automation.
The module retains recent analysis history according to administrator-selected storage behavior. If a diagnostic area cannot be collected, the analysis remains available with the collection status shown for that area where possible.
Trial operation limits available output and administrative changes. Administrators should treat trial results as a limited evaluation view rather than a full operational export.
