System Requirements
-
Ignition: One Ignition gateway with the Perspective module installed.
-
Supported versions:
-
Ignition 8.1.30 or newer in the 8.1 line.
-
Ignition 8.3.x.
-
-
Supported configurations:
-
Standalone gateway running Perspective.
-
Redundant gateway pair running Perspective.
-
Development, test, and production gateways using the same compatible Ultra Charts build.
-
-
-
OS: Any 64-bit operating system supported by the target Ignition version.
-
Databases: None required by the module. Chart data must be provided by the Perspective project through properties, bindings, scripts, queries, or other project-owned data sources.
-
Other Required Modules: Ignition Perspective module and Ignition base gateway.
Ignition Edge support has not been validated for Ultra Charts. Use a full Ignition gateway for supported deployments.
Deployment Notes
-
Install the Ultra Charts module on every gateway where Perspective Designer or Perspective sessions need to use the chart components.
-
The module registers components in the Perspective Designer palette under the
Ultra Chartscategory. -
Chart configuration, bindings, and event handlers are stored in the Perspective project. The module does not maintain a separate chart database or external chart server.
-
For Ignition 8.3 upgrades, validate the project in a development or test gateway before production and verify that all required third-party modules are compatible with the target Ignition version.
Compatibility Notes
-
Ignition 8.1.33 and newer use Java 17; earlier supported 8.1 versions use Java 11. Use the Java runtime bundled with Ignition unless a project-specific support decision requires otherwise.
-
Custom project scripts, external libraries, or Expert-mode D3 code should be validated against the target browser and Ignition version.
-
Ultra Charts renders in the Perspective browser session, so client browser performance and data size directly affect chart responsiveness.
