Ultra Charts catalog

This document lists every chart currently registered by the Ultra Charts Ignition Perspective module. All entries appear in the Designer palette category Ultra Charts.

The catalog contains 101 active chart choices: 99 Observable Plot presets, one Sankey chart, and one Expert-mode chart (build with code). Each of the seven Observable Plot families also has a family-level palette entry that loads the same properties as its default preset.

Observable Plot JSON structure

The first seven categories share the same general property structure. data supplies the rows, scales such as x, y, and color configure the plot, and marks describe what is drawn. A mark uses root data unless it supplies its own data property.

The following is a complete, minimal property example for a vertical bar chart. It can be used as the structure for a Perspective component's props object:

JSON
{
  "data": [
    { "category": "A", "value": 30 },
    { "category": "B", "value": 45 },
    { "category": "C", "value": 25 }
  ],
  "x": {
    "label": "Category"
  },
  "y": {
    "label": "Value",
    "grid": true
  },
  "marks": [
    {
      "type": "barY",
      "options": {
        "x": "category",
        "y": "value",
        "fill": "steelblue",
        "tip": true
      }
    },
    {
      "type": "ruleY",
      "options": {
        "y": 0
      }
    }
  ],
  "dataAccessors": {
    "x": "category",
    "y": "value"
  },
  "brushMode": "x"
}

Common optional properties include width, height, aspectRatio, grid, margin, inset, x, y, color, fx, fy, facet, symbol, marks, brushMode, and dataAccessors. Mark options may contain field names, constants, or supported JavaScript function strings such as "d => d.value". Presets are editable starting configurations; replacing their sample data and field mappings is expected.
